The Navajo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity in Areas 1 and 2 during the period of Aug. 20 – Sept. 2. Areas 1 and 2 include Joseph City, Woodruff, Sun Valley, Goodwater, Adamana, unincorporated areas of Winslow and Holbrook, and parts of the Navajo and Hopi reservations that are located within the boundaries of Navajo County. Persons who were cited, charged or arrested by deputies are accused of committing criminal activity, but such accusations should raise no inference of guilt. At 4:03 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 20, Eric Chee, 33, of Leupp was arrested for failure to appear after deputies were dispatched to the 4600 block of Cooper Town Road in Winslow for a report of an intoxicated subject. Chee was booked into the Navajo County Jail. At 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 23, Eric Soke Jr., 35, of Holbrook, was arrested for failure to appear following a traffic stop on Navajo Blvd. at Hermosa Drive in Holbrook. Soke was booked into the county jail. At 8:41 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 24, Michael Culliver, 31, of Joseph City was arrested for driving on a suspended/revoked/canceled license following a traffic stop in the 4700 block of Main Street in Joseph City. Culliver was booked into the county jail. At 10:01 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 25, Ernest Cooper, 65, of Galveston, Texas, was arrested for disorderly conduct after deputies were dispatched to the 4600 block of Main Street in Joseph City regarding a citizens assist. Cooper was booked into the county jail. At 3:40 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 30, Nicol Candelaria, 48, was arrested for possession and/or use of drug paraphernalia and failure to appear and Kimberly Paul, 35, of Winslow was arrested for failure to comply following a traffic stop in the 4600 block of Coopertown Road in Winslow. Candelaria and Paul were each booked into the county jail. At 12:56 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 31, Nico Aguirre, 33, of Winslow, was arrested for possession and/or use of drug paraphernalia, Simon Aguirre, 31, of Winslow, was arrested for possession and/or use of drug paraphernalia, Adam Yazzie, 18, of Leupp, was arrested for possession and/or use of drug paraphernalia, Jiselle Romero, 20, of Winslow, was arrested for possession and/or use of drug paraphernalia and possession and/or use of a narcotic drug, and Jose Rivera, 23, of Winslow, was arrested for possession of a weapon by a prohibited possessor, possession of a weapon in a drug offense, possession and/or use of dangerous drugs, possession and/or use of a narcotic drug and possession and/or use of drug paraphernalia after deputies served a search warrant in the 100 block of Elm Street in Winslow. All suspects were booked into the county jail. At 4:55 p.m. on Thursday, Ella Yellowhair, 38, was arrested for DUI with a passenger under 15, following a traffic stop on Territorial Road in Joseph City. Yellowhair was booked into the county jail. At 7:34 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 1, Byaraa Manibadar, 52, of Los Angeles, Calif., was cited and released for failure to remain at a collision after deputies were dispatched to the 4700 block of Main Street in Joseph City for a report of a hit and run. At 8:27 p.m. on Friday, Cole Jennings, 38, of Sun Lakes was cited and released for criminal speeding after a traffic stop on State Route 260 at milepost 310 in Heber.
