The Navajo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity in Area 3 during the period of Aug. 17-30. Area 3 includes Heber, Overgaard, Aripine, Chevelon Retreat, Chevelon Acres, Antelope Valley, Clay Springs and Pinedale. Persons who were cited, charged or arrested by deputies are accused of committing criminal activity, but such accusations should raise no inference of guilt.
A 10:42 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 20, Summer Dawes, 49, of Pinedale, was arrested for child and/or vulnerable adult abuse and aggravated assault on a minor after deputies were dispatched to the 5400 block of Oak Meadow Way in Pinedale for a welfare check. Dawes was booked into the Navajo County Jail.
At 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 22, Theodore Saylor, 30, of Overgaard, was arrested for assault after deputies were dispatched to the 2700 block of State Route 260 in Overgaard for a report of an assault. Saylor was booked into the county jail.
At 11:37 p.m. on Friday, David Velasco, 39, of Overgaard, was arrested for threatening and intimidating, and trespassing after deputies were dispatched to the 2700 block of State Route 260 in Overgaard for a report of trespassing. Velasco was booked into the county jail.
At 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 23, Cody Teagardin, 32, of Overgaard, was arrested for assault, criminal damage and disorderly conduct after deputies were dispatched to the 3600 block of Green Forest Drive in Overgaard for a report of a disorderly subject. Teagardin was booked into the county jail.
At 11:44 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 25, David Riegle, 60, of Overgaard, was arrested for theft, assault and disorderly conduct after deputies were dispatched to the 2800 block of Holiday Forest Drive in Overgaard for a report of a disorderly subject. Riegle was booked into the county jail.
At 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 26, Genefer Brewington, 46, of Overgaard, was arrested for disorderly conduct after deputies were dispatched to the 2000 block of Christmas Pine Road in Overgaard for a report of an assault. Brewington was booked into the county jail.
