The Navajo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity in Area 3 during the period of Dec. 31 – Jan. 6. Area 3 includes Heber, Overgaard, Aripine, Chevelon Retreat, Chevelon Acres, Antelope Valley, Clay Springs and Pinedale. Persons who were cited, charged or arrested by deputies are accused of committing criminal activity, but such accusations should raise no inference of guilt.
At 11:27 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 4, Johnathan Garvin, 41, of Claysprings, was arrested for failure to comply after deputies made contact with Garvin in the Clay Springs area. Garvin was booked into the Navajo County Jail.
At 12:43 p.m. on Thursday, Ernie Kornya, 26, was cited and released for criminal speeding following a traffic stop in the 2000 block of Lumber Valley Road in Overgaard.
At 7:45 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 5, Victoria Smith, 25, of Heber, was arrested for possession and/or use of a narcotic drug and possession and/or use of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop on State Route 260 at Forest Service Road 210 in Heber. Smith was booked into the county jail.
At 5 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 6, Ricky Brewer, 38, of Overgaard, was arrested for criminal damage after deputies were dispatched to the 2000 block of Pine Lake Drive in Overgaard for a report of criminal damage. Brewer was booked into the county jail.
