The Navajo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity in Area 3 during the period of May 19-25. Area 3 includes Heber, Overgaard, Aripine, Chevelon Retreat, Chevelon Acres, Antelope Valley, Clay Springs and Pinedale. Persons who were cited, charged or arrested by deputies are accused of committing criminal activity, but such accusations should raise no inference of guilt.
At 8 a.m. on Sunday, May 19, Richard Guthrie, 54, of Overgaard, was cited and released for assault after deputies were dispatched to the 3000 block of Ponderosa Road in Overgaard for a report of a fight.
At 11:57 a.m. on Monday, May 20, Carlos Lucio-Jacobo, 35, of Santa Cruz, was arrested for possession of a narcotic drug, aggravated DUI and failure to appear following a traffic stop on State Route 260 at White Cliff Road in Heber. Lucio-Jacobo was booked into the Navajo County Jail.
At 1:27 a.m. on Tuesday, May 21, Rodolfo Yepiz Sanchez, 31, of Phoenix, was arrested for possession and/or use of a narcotic drug, transportation and/or sale of a narcotic drug, possession of a narcotic drug for sale and possession and/or use of a narcotic drug following a traffic stop on State Route 260 at milepost 305 in Heber. Sanchez was booked into the county jail.
At 9:37 p.m. on Tuesday, Kevin Cardenas Sierra, 26, of Phoenix, was arrested for transportation and/or sale of a narcotic drug, possession of a narcotic drug for sale, possession and/or use of a narcotic drug, possession of a weapon by a prohibited possessor and possession of a weapon during a drug offense following a traffic stop on State Route 260 at milepost 305 in Heber. Cardenas Sierra was booked into the county jail.
At 7:03 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22, Chelsea Vance, 32, of Snowflake, was arrested for assault after deputies were dispatched to the 3500 block of Winchester Road in Heber for a report of an assault. Vance was booked into the county jail.
At 1 a.m. on Thursday, May 23, Darrin Olsen, 54, of Everett, Wash., was arrested for an open container violation and failure to appear following a traffic stop on State Route 277 at State Route 260 in the Heber area. Olsen was booked into the county jail.
At 1:34 p.m. on Thursday, Jerry Rose, 77, of Overgaard, was arrested for assault after deputies were dispatched to the 2100 block of Fishermans Road in Overgaard for a report of an assault. Rose was booked into the county jail.
At 11:21 a.m. on Saturday, May 25, Joseph Uptain, 58, of Overgaard, was cited and released for driving on a suspended/revoked/cancelled license following a traffic stop on Pinewood Drive and
