The Navajo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity in Area 4 during the period of July 30 – Aug. 5. Area 4 covers approximately 1,800 square miles, and encompasses the unincorporated areas of Snowflake/Taylor, Shumway, Cedar Hills, White Mountain Lake and Show Low Pines. Persons who were cited, charged or arrested by the officers are accused of committing criminal activity, but such accusations should raise no inference of guilt. At 5:31 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 3, Mykel Dion, 35, of Overgaard was arrested for extreme DUI with a blood alcohol content of .15% or more and extreme DUI with a blood alcohol content of .20% or more following a traffic stop on the 2100 block of Chevlon Road in Overgaard. At 6:21 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 5, Joseph Pressnell, 41, of Avondale was arrested for violation of probation and a warrant after deputies conducted a traffic stop on State Route 277 at Halter Cross in Heber. Presnell was booked into the Navajo County Jail.
