Sandra N. Fischer (Smith), 73, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 20, 2016, in Black Canyon City. She was born on June 15, 1943, in Phoenix to William Smith and Juanita Smith (Moore). Sandra (Sandy) lived in Black Canyon City since 1991, having moved from Holbrook, where she had lived since 1980. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, caregiver and great friend to many. Sandy was an artist at heart who enjoyed drawing, painting, quilting and many other crafts. Sandy took great pride in making special items for her sons and grandchildren. Sandy enjoyed having a large family including many children and grandchildren. Sandy is survived by her husband George Fischer of Black Canyon City as well as eight sons, Edward Bibb Jr. of Flagstaff, Timothy Bibb Sr. of Phoenix, Jerry Bibb of Black Canyon City, Darren Bibb of Phoenix, Bradley Bibb of Taipei, Taiwan, David Fischer of Memphis, Tenn. and Lynn Fischer of Oklahoma City, Okla.; two daughters, Sue Fikes of Sierra, Calif., and Tina Fischer of Albuquerque, NM; 24 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sons, C. Elton Bibb, Randy Fischer and Roy Fischer. At Sandy’s request, no services are planned and cremation will take place.
