On Friday, Sept. 20, 2024, our beloved mother, grandmother and aunt, Rosalie “Charlie” Meritt, 86, with her loving family at her side left this earth to be reunited with the love of her life, Gerald Meritt.
Rosalie liked to spend time with family, playing Bingo and going to the casino. Since the loss of Gerald her health steadily declined and her daughter, Delores moved to Winslow to take care of her. As per her wishes she will be cremated.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5, at Desert View Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest alongside her husband, Gerald.
Rosalie is survived by her son, Ralph (Shannon); daughter, Delores Tafoya-Lopez (Fidel); her Meritt family, whom she loved dearly, Ron, John (Allison) and Danny (Shirley) Meritt; along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephew; sister, Connie Barron; and brother, Cheo Gonzales.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Meritt; brothers, Lupe, Moises, Louis and Gabriel; sisters, Maria Trujillo and Fina Salazar; father and mother, Moises Gonzales and Adela Cisneros.
