The Lady Roadrunners are still searching for their first regular season win after falling to 0-4 through the first two weeks of the season. After falling to last year’s state championship match representatives in the first week, Holbrook dropped a 0-5 decision to visiting Payson on Tuesday of last week. On Saturday the team traveled to Page where they scored their first two official regular season goals of the season, albeit in a 2-4 loss to the Sand Devils.

Holbrook’s junior varsity team won their second match in a row moving the younger team’s record to 2-2. “We are proud of the way the players kept playing despite our low numbers and some minor injuries. We played two full matches with just 18 players. Coach Wallacy and myself are pleased with the effort the girls put out on the field in the Page match. Kelli Hill and Samara Kennedy both played well in goal for us. Overall everybody did their part,” stated assistant Coach Victor Paz.
