The Holbrook baseball squad lost a slugfest to Blue Ridge on Tuesday night, falling by a final of 16-14.
Both teams started well, combining for nine first inning runs, then went back and forth, eventually heading to the sixth inning tied at 14-14. Blue Ridge pushed across what ended up being the game winning runs in the bottom of the sixth.
With the loss, the Roadrunners leveled their power point regular season record at 6-6. They will be playing in the Estrella Foothills Wolves Classic this weekend. On Tuesday, April 14, they play at Winslow. They will host Mogollon on Thursday, April 16, and Globe the following day.
The Roadrunners were ranked 30th as of Tuesday’s game and will need to pick up some crucial power point wins down the stretch of the regular season to qualify for post-season play.
