Richard Ben Pearson Richard Ben Pearson, son of the late Lowell Pearson and Sharon O’Dell was born in Holbrook on Sept. 12, 1965, and passed away at his home in Winslow on Jan. 31, 2021. Ben spent four years in his beloved Marine Corps. After being discharged he went to work at the Arizona Department of Corrections, first as an officer then later he transferred into the warehouse as manager. Ben worked for the DOC for 33 years and received an award for his service. Ben was very proud of his accomplishment. He had planned to retire soon. Ben is survived by his mother and step-father, Sharon and Ralph O’Dell; son, Benjamin Pearson; sister, Teri (Frank) Wurster; nephew, Alex Wurster; and his constant companion, love of his life, Teresa Luna. Teresa and Ben had plans to re-marry soon. Ben was preceded in death by his father, Lowell Pearson; grandfather and grandmother, L. Ben and Gladys Pearson; and grandfather and grandmother, James and Ruby Brummitt. A memorial is pending.
