The Holbrook Art Series continues this month with quilts by the Dusty Desert Quilters Guild and ceramics by Petrified Forest Artist in Residence Jess Nevins. The event will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, March 17, at the Navajo County Fair Grounds Open Class Building, located at 404 E. Hopi Drive. The natural environments she has explored inspire Nevins’ ceramic work. Much of her work makes use of petroglyphs and cave environments. Currently she is focused on rock formations and bark textures. She is a visiting artist at the park and works at The Clay Studio of Missoula in Missoula, Montana.
