Phillip DoBell, also lovingly referred to as “Little Man” by his mom, Jenifer, “Buggie” by his sisters Ashli and Amber, and Phil, Phillip, Phillipe`(among others) by his sister Stephani and many nicknames among friends… He was born July 17, 2001, to his parents Jenifer Lavarnway and Paul DoBell, into a world of loving family, extended family and friends – and as he grew up, he expanded that circle with many dear and true friends.
Always known for being cheerful, friendly, upbeat, funny, laughing, joking, energetic and perpetually active on a myriad of projects, which included helping family and friends with whatever they brought to him as they knew Phillip could figure it out if anyone could. He was always generous, with an eagerness and willingness to share knowledge and teach others.
His capacity to explore, interact with, take apart and most often figure out how to fix something was dazzling to watch or experience. He didn’t shrink from a challenge and his spirit helped set a positive tone, elicit a laugh or find ways to revel in life.
He lived large, on his own terms, and no one around him was left wondering about his thoughts, interests or how he felt about you – he loved us all. His plans were always a whirlwind that might only pause briefly mid-sentence as a solution to something else he’d been pondering came to him, so he’d note it, comment, chuckle, then shift back into the whirlwind of other thoughts to express from where he left off.
He loved his motorcycles, his vehicles, 3D printing, guns, shooting and engineering and fabricating parts, solutions, tools and entire projects – and had just put the finishing touches on a major 3D build project that he had lined up to patent and a company produce his design and was ecstatic over that coming together.
As always, he had plans for the next day, next week and so on, so, no he was not done and had no intention of not being here to keep doing the things he should still be here doing. [Uninformed gossip may indicate otherwise, though the reality is that the medical examiners confirmed it to be a tragic accident clearly without intent.] Yes, he should still be here and those that knew him will miss him and the opportunity to revel in all the projects, life, love and hugs that would have been…
We were blessed to have him while we did and sadly, he was cut short at the age of 24 with so much life that he should have had ahead of him on Jan. 29, 2026.
The world has less color, light and love without his bright spirit, happy smile and zest for life, love of family and friends. For those that know him, we are also sorry for your loss and hope you find some comfort in having gotten the chance to know him in this short life. He is and will continue to be loved and missed.
