Reaching Holbrook High School’s George Gardner Performing Arts Center from the eastern parking lot will be easier due to a bridge donated by local residents and merchants. John Morgan (left) of Welding Services built the metal bridge with a wooden walkway with supplies donated by Walt’s Hardware, with additional time and funding provided by Matt (second from left) and Terrie Shevat, owners of Tee Pee Toys. The Shevats felt something needed to be done to help patrons cross the drainage ditch between the two parking lots and approached the other entities with the idea of building the bridge. They hope to build a second bridge, and the school district is also considering making a project of a third bridge. The bridge cost approximately $650 to build. Also pictured are HHS Assistant Principal Charles Haussman (second from right) and Superintendent Dr. Robbie Koerperich (right).
