Patrick Allen Hendricks, 72, a former Holbrook resident, died on Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at his home in Mesa. Pat was born in Bakersfield, Calif., and spent most of his youth in Holbrook, especially excelling in sports, mostly baseball, locally and through college. His main life work was in mining, with years spent in Papau, New Guinea. He traveled extensively and loved life. Survivors include his wife, Brenda; five daughters; his grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara DeSpain of Holbrook and Myrna Hunt of Bend, Ore.; and many friends. A memorial service and burial were held at Mountain View Cemetery in Mesa, which were attended by old Holbrook buddies Jim Colligan and Norman Whiting, and some of the DeSpain and Hunt families.
