Holbrook’s first Catholic church is being demolished after undergoing the process for removal of asbestos. The church, which was constructed approximately 100 years ago with several additions made over the years, was no longer used for church services after the completion of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church across the street at 212 E. Arizona St. in 1968. No decision has yet been made as to how the space will be utilized once the building is removed, though a small park is being considered.
