The City of Holbrook is developing microparks in neighborhoods, providing residents a place to stop and relax as they go for walks. This park at the corner of West Erie Street and First Avenue has been cleared and a number of decorative boulders are in place, but what is sure to have the greatest appeal to visitors will be the beautiful flower mural being painted on the old wooden fence that lines the back of the park. When it was discovered that city employee Robert Garey had a gift for drawing, he was asked to apply his talents to the fence, where he is creating an array of colorful flowers to brighten the area.
