Mabel Porter Despain peacefully passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2016, in Heber, surrounded by her loved ones. A viewing will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday April 21, at the Heber Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, followed by funeral services at 2 p.m. Interment will immediately follow at the Heber Cemetery. She was born March 29, 1933, to Leslie James Porter and Alice Lestra Bowler. Survivors include her husband, Marion Guy Despain; seven daughters, Raylene Parry of Heber, Margo Chambers of Gilbert, Paula Hunt of Heber, Jena Brimhall of Heber, Robbi Hancock of Heber, Becki Lewis of Snowflake and Marian Hess of Albuquerque, N.M.; two sisters, Rose Reidhead of Kanab, Utah, and Leslie Whitmer of Kaysville, Utah; 25 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren. Silver Creek Mortuary of Taylor was in charge of the arrangements.
