She lived most of her life in Holbrook and worked two to three jobs at a time at various places, retiring in 2014 from the Adobe Inn after 50 years as supervisor in the housekeeping and laundry fields. Louise loved the Lord. She was our Superwoman. We are so thankful for the kind love she gave her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all of us. Survivors include her son, Edmond Sam of Many Farms; her four daughters, Michelle Sam and Jacqueline (Raleigh) Scott, both of Holbrook, Jeanette Sam of Phoenix and Richelle Keams of Chinle; one very special sister, Dorothy Jim of Greasewood; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edna Begay and John X. Nez; two sons, Ernie and Irvin Sam; her brother, Dan Begay; and four sisters, Lois Spencer, Jeanette (JB) Keams, Ella Begay and Mary Begay.
