The Lobos were in action three times last week splitting a pair of east region games and earning a freedom game win over Monument Valley.

Facing a Roadrunner team in Holbrook on Tuesday night, the Lobos were able to take advantage of a Holbrook team missing a couple of key players. Noah Baum hit from deep twice in the first period keeping the Lobos within striking range through the first eight minutes.

The Lobos exploded in the second quarter, netting 24 points with six different players scoring helping them build a 32-24 half time lead. They pushed that margin to double digits in the third, then held on for a 57-46 road win. Noah Baum led the Lobos in scoring with a 20- point effort.

Thursday night Snowflake battled a tough Show Low team to a two-point loss. Playing on Blue Ridge’s home floor due to their own court still being worked on, the Lobos came up two points short in an 84-82 final outcome.

Hosting Monument Valley on Saturday, Snowflake trailed by five after the first period, but overtook the Mustangs in the second to lead by four at the half. They doubled that margin in the third, then held on in the fourth to win the game 63-56.

The ninth ranked Lobos have two busy weeks left in the regular season. After playing in Snowflake on Monday, they will host Blue Ridge on Wednesday. On Friday they welcome in Payson, then on Saturday they wrap up a four-game week hosting Page.

Next week they will play at Blue Ridge on Tuesday, host Winslow Wednesday, then welcome in Holbrook for the regular season finale on Friday the 11th.

Snowflake entered this week with an overall record of 11-9. They are 7-4 in regular season contests.
