Snowflake capped on the final week of the regular season with a 1-1 split in two games. Hosting Holbrook on Wednesday night the Lobos fell behind Holbrook by seven in the first quarter but held the Roadrunners to just two points in the second to lead at the half by six points.
That lead evaporated quickly in the third period where Holbrook outscored Snowflake 18-3. The fourth period wasn’t much better when Holbrook held them to just eight points in the 51-38 Holbrook win.
Hosting Blue Ridge the following night, the Lobos made up for the previous night with a 52-38 win over Blue Ridge on senior night.
With that win, Snowflake finished the regular season with an impressive 19-5 overall record. Their power point season mark of 15-4 placed them 10th in the 3A state bracket. As the No. 10 seed, they will host a familiar foe in No. 23 Show Low on Thursday night. With a win in that game, they would advance to take on No. 7 ALA Ironwood on Saturday night in Phoenix.
