Snowflake’s soccer teams are off to a good beginning with the boys’ team posting a 2-1 record through their first three matches. They opened the season on Aug. 16, with a 4-0 win over Northland Prep. That was followed by a 2-1 home-field win over Chino Valley this past Tuesday. The following day they had their first setback of the season with a 2-1 home field loss to Sedona Red Rock.
They will now have some time off to prepare for their next game scheduled at St. Michael on Sept. 11. They will be in Holbrook to take on the Roadrunners on Sept. 14.
The Lady Lobos split their first two regular season matches. Playing in Chino Valley on last Tuesday, they toppled the typically tough Cougars by a final of 4-0. Hosting Show Low on Friday, they were on the opposite end of a shutout, losing to their rival 5-0.
Following their game in Holbrook on Monday the 28th, they will travel to St. Johns on the 29th. The next home-field match will be against Payson on Sept. 5.
