By Greg Perkins The Lobos finally had a soft spot in their schedule last weekend and took advantage of it, picking up a 62-7 victory over Monument Valley. Two first period touchdowns followed by four more before halftime put the game out of reach with Snowflake on top 41-7 at the break. Two more scores and a final touchdown in the fourth period wrapped up Snowflake’s fourth win of the season against just one loss. This week the Lobos host Blue Ridge in what used to be billed as one of the best games on the mountain. This year’s game has lost some of its usual luster with the Yellowjackets struggling mightily. Blue Ridge has won its past two games to move to 2-3 on the year, but those wins were over Chinle and Alchesay. Look for the Lobos to avenge several years of frustrations against Blue Ridge. Snowflake is the much better team and, unlike Blue Ridge, is looking for a deep playoff run.
