The Lobos started the season slowly but since returning from the holiday break they have put together three straight wins. With only one game played last week due to Winslow having a COVID hiatus, the Lobos picked up a 54-46 home court win over Show Low on Wednesday.
That win puts them 4-3 in regular-season contests. After dropping their first two, and three of their first four regular season games, they seem to be catching their stride. With a packed end of season schedule on the horizon, the 19th ranked Lobos will need to keep playing well to ensure a post season berth.
Snowflake still has 11 games remaining on their original schedule. That schedule may change pending COVID delays or setbacks by other schools in the region. Both Winslow and Holbrook have recently experienced a pause in their basketball programs.
If the schedule stands, the Lobos are slated to play at Payson on Tuesday. They will then host Blue Ridge on Thursday, then play at Holbrook next Tuesday.
Snowflake is 8-8 overall on the season.
