By Greg Perkins Snowflake’s boys’ soccer team played just one regular season match last week, picking up a 4-0 road win at Round Valley. That win moved their overall regular season mark to 5-0. Over the weekend they played in the Chino Cup Soccer Tournament hosted by Chino Valley. Snowflake won both matches played on Friday, picking up wins over Grand Canyon 8-0 and Northland Prep 1-0. On Saturday they defeated Page 7-0, but fell to Chino Valley 0-2. This week they will host Show Low on Wednesday. The Lady Lobos soccer team is now 3-3 on the season after splitting two regular season matches played last week. On Tuesday they were in Payson where they shut out the Longhorns 4-0. Hosting Blue Ridge the following day they fell 1-5 to a tough Yellowjacket team. Like the boys’ team, they also played in the Chino Cup Soccer tournament over the weekend. Snowflake dropped both matches on Friday, losing to St. Johns 1-2 and to Chino Valley 2-7. They had just one match on Saturday which was a 6-1 win over Page. Snowflake will have played in Camp Verde on Tuesday for their only match this week. Their next scheduled match is Oct. 5 when they host St. Johns.
