The Lobos cruised to a 34-7 home field win over Payson on Friday night. Snowflake may have had a bit of an emotional let down after last week’s win over Blue Ridge, but after a scoreless first quarter the Lobos began to get their offense rolling. Ethan Ramage opened the scoring early in the second period with a 25-yard scoring strike to Luke Patterson. A few minutes later Ramage had his second scoring toss of the game with a one-yard dump off to Brigden Turley. Samuel Crockett booted the point after making the score 13-0 and sending the Lobos on their way to a lopsided win.
Late in the second period Turley scored on a one-yard run making the score 20-0 at the half following Crockett’s point after boot.
Snowflake’s next score came early in the fourth when Ethan Walker scored on a two-yard run. A few minutes later Shane Halladay scored the Lobos’s final points on a five-yard run.
Payson avoided the shut out with a late fourth quarter touchdown making the final score 34-7.
