The Lobos kept their season mark perfect at 4-0 with a comfortable 45-13 home field win over Catalina Foothills on Friday night. The team was in control early and often in the first half.

A pair of first-quarter touchdowns gave them a 14-0 lead. Three more scores in the second put Snowflake comfortably in front, 32-0 at the half. Playing with the big lead in the second half, the two teams played even, with each team scoring one time in both the third and fourth quarters before the final 45-13 result.

Jacob LaDuke completed 7 of his 11 attempts for 43 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Maverick Greer was 2 for 3 for 22 yards.

Edge Bryant had two catches for 22 yards; Christian Smith, 2 for 15; Mason Raban, 2 for 13; Colter Willis, 2 for 12 with a score; and Liam Brewer had one 3-yard reception.

Snowflake’s ground attack was in full force, racking up 174 yards. Brenner Green carried nine times, picking up 97 yards, and finding the endzone three times. LaDuke gained 38 yards on 5 runs, scoring twice. Nate Hall rushed 4 times for 25 yards with a touchdown. Greer had an 8-yard run, and Talmage Lucas had one 6-yard run.

This week, Snowflake will put its unbeaten mark on the line when they travel to face Marco de Niza in the final freedom game for each team. The Padres are also 4-0 heading into this contest, so something has to give. Through their four wins, they are averaging 42.5 points per game, while giving up only 19.5 points defensively.

Next week, Snowflake begins region play in the 4A Desert Sky region with a trip to Moon Valley High School.
