In all fairness to the Snowflake Lobos basketball team, their football players haven’t had much time on the court thanks to their impressive state title run. Combine that with the fact they had to open their season at perennial powerhouse Valley Christian last Tuesday those two facts combined for a 41-75 road loss for Coach Andy Wood and his team. Snowflake will certainly improve as they get more court time together.

That time will come this week. After hosting Chinle on Tuesday night the Lobos will compete in the Pepsi Holiday Tournament this Thursday through Saturday. They open tournament play on Thursday, with a match up against Lee Williams. On Friday they will face San Tan Charter.

Next week Snowflake will travel to Tuba City on Thursday, then return home to host Northwest Christian on Friday.
