By Greg Perkins Snowflake’s boys’ soccer team is 2-0 after their 8-4 road win in Holbrook on Wednesday last week. Snowflake led 6-2 at the half, then match the Roadrunners with two second half goals winning the match 8-4. Snowflake has two matches this week. After playing in Payson on Tuesday they will return home the following day to host St. Johns. Next Wednesday they will travel to Round Valley. The Lady Lobos played one regular season match last week which was a 5-0 shut-out loss to Northland Prep on Tuesday. On Friday they faced Northland Prep again in the Show Low Tournament then fell 2-1. They also took on St. Johns and fell to the Lady Redskins by a final of 6-1. Things don’t get any easier this week when they host Chino Valley on Tuesday. The Cougars are traditionally playing in the championship match for fall soccer and will be a tough team for the Lobos to beat. The Lady Lobos are 2-1 in regular season matches heading into this week.
