By Greg Perkins The Lobo boys soccer team battled the Cougars to a 2-2 tie on Wednesday last week in their only regular season contest play in Show Low. Over the weekend they were at Chino Valley High School competing in the Chino Cup Soccer Tournament. Their two matches on Friday were wins over Page and Show Low. Saturday morning they took care of Grand Canyon in morning action, later that afternoon the team played well but fell to the host team Chino Valley by a final of 1-2. This week they resume regular season action when they host Round Valley on Wednesday. Snowflake is currently 3-2-2 in their seven regular season matches. The Lady Lobos currently hold a 4-1-1 regular season mark heading into this week. This past week they easily took care of Round Valley 8-0 on Tuesday, but Thursday’s match-up with St. Johns was a battle. Hosting the Redskins, Snowflake finished with a 2-2 overtime tie between two evenly matched teams. This week Snowflake hosts a very good Northland Prep team on Tuesday, then will travel to Holbrook to face a struggling Roadrunner squad on Thursday.
