By Greg Perkins The Lobos dropped their first non-tournament game of the baseball season last Tuesday, losing 3-1 at Winslow in a pitcher’s duel. Snowflake managed just four hits against Bulldog pitching, with Jarom Beecroft, Tanner Crosby, Dallin Fusselman and Hunter Bauer collecting those hits. Fusselman doubled and scored Snowflake’s only run in the game. On the hill, Jarom Beecroft and Tyler Hanson pitched well, giving up just three runs, but they didn’t get enough run support to secure a win. Beecroft faced 22 batters through four innings of work, giving up just two runs, one earned, on seven hits with two walks and two strikeouts. Hanson allowed just one unearned run on one hit with a walk and two strikeouts. Snowflake, now 4-1 with the loss, will host Thatcher today (March 12), then welcome in Window Rock on Thursday, March 13. On Friday, March 14, they play at Holbrook.
