Snowflake’s boys’ team played their initial regular season match on Friday, earning a hard-fought 2-0 win over what is typically a very good Northland Prep team. They had defeated the Spartans just over a week ago in the Payson Tournament, but this win counts in the standings.
The team will host St. Johns on Wednesday this week, then will host Round Valley on Sept. 16. Including tournament play, Snowflake is now 5-1 on the season.
The Lady Lobos moved their regular season record to 3-0 with a 10-0 road win over Camp Verde on Wednesday last week. Through their first three wins, they have allowed just one goal, while scoring 25 goals.
They have two games this week to keep that impressive streak going. After hosting St. Johns on Monday, they will travel to face Blue Ridge on Thursday. Next Monday, they will host Sedona.
