Following the previous week’s bye, the Lobos returned to the field in fine form on Friday night, blanking Fountain Hills 40-0, keeping their record perfect at 3-0 and also keeping their opponents off the scoreboard through the first three weeks. Snowflake has outscored its three opponents a combined 99-0 through the first part of the schedule.
Snowflake played well throughout the contest, scoring twice in the first and fourth periods, and once each in the second and third quarters to tally 40 points.

This week the Lobos will put their newly minted number one ranking and their shutout streak on the line with a long trip to face the Bears in Coolidge. Payson shut out the Bears on Friday, 42-0. Coolidge also lost to Santa Cruz Valley in week two, but opened their season with a win at Amphitheater. Despite the long road trip the Lobos should expect to move to 4-0, although their shut out streak may come to an end.
