By Greg Perkins Snowflake’s boys’ soccer team is still unbeaten at 6-0 and ranked No. 1 in the 2A power rankings after their 4-1 win over the Show Low Cougars in their only match played last week. Snowflake will play twice this week, with two tough matches. A road match at No. 6 Blue Ridge on Wednesday followed by a home field match with No. 5 Camp Verde on Saturday afternoon will test Snowflake’s top overall ranking. Next week the Lobos will host Blue Ridge on the 12th, and welcome in Holbrook on the 13th. The Lady Lobos soccer team enters this week ranked in the sixth and final spot in terms of playoff positioning for the 2A girls soccer season. They played just once last week picking up a 6-2 road win at Camp Verde on Tuesday. This week they will play twice. A home field match with St. Johns on Tuesday, will be followed by a road trip to Blue Ridge on Thursday. St. Johns is currently ranked fifth, and the Lady Yellowjackets are currently ranked third, so both contests will weigh heavily on Snowflake’s post season chances. Snowflake is 4-3 in regular season matches heading into this week.
