Joseph City’s Lady Wildcat’s fading post-season hopes hit a snag at the close of the week with two more losses. The Lady Cats just couldn’t find a way to break Round Valley’s defense on Jan. 17, mustering just six points in the game. Round Valley cruised to the 49-6 win. Saturday’s game in Flagstaff against Northland Prep was a better performance albeit another loss. Joseph City scored better but came up five points short in a 45-40 setback.

With the two losses the Wildcats have seen their regular season mark fall to 3-11. They have just four games remaining in the season but with two of those four against sixth ranked Mogollon and another against No. 14 Williams the end looks near for the Lady Wildcats.

Joseph City will have played host to Williams on Tuesday then will host Mogollon on Friday night. Next Tuesday, in a strange scheduling twist, they will travel to Heber to face Mogollon for the second time in four days.
