By Greg Perkins The Lady Wildcats picked up two wins last week both by identical 25-1 scores. The first of the two was a game in Bullhead City on Thursday against Mohave Accelerated. The Wildcats gave up eight hits to the Patriots but those hits were scattered and Joseph City cruised to the big win. Hosting Fredonia on Saturday afternoon, Joseph City again put 25 runs on the board while giving up just one to the Lynx. Fredonia has played just five games this season and is still looking for their first win of the year. With those two wins, the Wildcats improved their season record to 7-6. After playing in Williams on Monday this week, Joseph City will host Show Low on Wednesday. On Saturday they host Mogollon then next Tuesday they will close their regular season with a trip to Mogollon. Joseph City entered this week ranked sixth in the 1A power rankings. If they remain inside the top 16 overall, which appears as though they will, the Wildcats will be playing in the first round of the 1A state tournament which begins on May 7 and will be played at the Rose Mofford Sports Complex in Phoenix.
