That stinging loss may have held over until Friday when the Wildcats were soundly beaten on the road at Grand Canyon. The Phantoms didn’t treat their guests nicely in the first eight minutes outscoring the Lady Cats 22-7 in the first eight minutes. The second period was closer but Joseph City still trailed 31-14 at the break. In the third, Ash Fork/Seligman put the game out of reach with a 24-point quarter. The Spartans went on to win the game 59-25 handing the Wildcats their 11th loss of the season with just one win.
