The Joseph City Lady Wildcats earned a split in their first two volleyball matches of the season. On Aug. 29, they fell in three games to rival Mogollon in Heber. The following day they were in Flagstaff facing Basis, where they flipped the outcome to come home with a win in three games.
This weekend Joseph City will be competing in the seventh annual Spartan Classic in Ash Fork. The Cats return to regular season action on Saturday, Sept. 16, when they will be in the Valley for a morning match against Anthem Prep, followed by an afternoon match at Valley Lutheran.
