The Lady Wildcats started the week with a 10-point loss to St. Johns, but bounced back with a pair of quality wins over Mogollon and Fort Thomas. Hosting the Redskins on Tuesday night, Joseph City struggled to score against St. Johns main defense, finishing the first period with only 5 points. They doubled that output in the second but trailed 22- 15 at the break. In the third, both teams were cold from the field and in the fourth the Redskins extended their lead before finally winning the game 45-35.

Samantha Jesmner led the team in scoring, with 12 points. Gabbie Jesmer added 7; Amber Neill, 4; Audrey Neill, 4; Ava Neill, 2; Raylee Fish, 2; and Tori Beatty added 1.

Hosting Mogollon the following night, the Ladies prevailed 42-35 over the Lady Mustangs. The game was close throughout, with only 3 points separating either team’s quarterly output throughout the contest. Joseph City led by 1 after one, by 4 at the break, and by 6 at the end of the third.

Amber Neill led with 14 points. Ava Neill added 11, Jesmer had 9, and Fish and Audrey Neill each netted 4 points.

Friday night the team traveled to take on Fort Thomas. This was another game that was close throughout, with Joseph City prevailing 44-40 in a tough place to get a win.

The Lady Wildcats head into their final action before the winter break with an overall mark of 12-7. They are 6-1 in regular-season contests. This week they will travel to Veritas Prep on Tuesday and Superior on Thursday. Friday will have them back on the bus for a trip to St. Michaels.
