The Lady Wildcats earned a split in their final week of the regular season. Their two wins also matched their season total for victories and might give them some momentum going into the 1A Central Tournament this week.
The week started bad for the Ladies with a 57-26 home court loss in their final home game of the season. Two days later, Joseph City bounced back to win a 31-25 road game at Northland Prep.
Saturday was the final day of the regular season for the 1A team and they were at Forth Thomas for a double header. The first game was a 17-55 drilling by the home team Apaches.
The Lady Wildcats didn’t let that faze them as they bounced back a few hours later with a 62-41 win over NFL Yet who was also in Fort Thomas as part of a three-team completion.
The Lady Wildcats wrapped up the regular season with a record of 4-14. They will face Grand Canyon in the play-in game of the tournament on Thursday. With a win they would compete in the tournament over the weekend. With a loss to Grand Canyon the Lady Wildcats will have their season come to a close. They lost to Grand Canyon in both regular season meetings played this year.
