The Lady Wildcats return from spring break didn’t go as hoped with them suffering a pair of losses at Mayer on Tuesday. Things looked good early in the first game with the Lady Cats scoring twice in the first inning. They held that lead until the bottom of the third where Mayer caught and passed them with a five-run output. Joseph City added single runs in each of the fourth, fifth and sixth innings but they couldn’t overcome three additional runs by Mayer in the bottom of the fourth, which ended up being the deciding runs in the 9-5 final outcome.
