By Greg Perkins The Holbrook girls finished in 10th place and the boys in 11th at the 25- team Winslow Invitational track and field meet held last Friday. Blue Ridge took the girls’ title with 134 points, followed by Snowflake with 93 and Show Low with 74.5. Holbrook scored 27 team points. Poston Butte took the boys’ title with 133 points, followed by Snowflake with 106 and Blue Ridge with 66.5. Holbrook scored 23 team points. In the girls’ 100 meter dash, Darian Hollins placed fourth; Demi Phaturos, 22nd; and Michaela Lee, 30th. In the 200 meter dash, Darian Hollins placed eighth; and Michaela Lee, 25th. In the 800 meter run, Miya Tom placed seventh; Morgan Zahne, 29th; and Latanya Lano, 32nd. In the 1600 meter run, Latanya Lano placed 36th. In the 3200 meter run, Miya Tom placed fifth. In the 100 meter hurdles, Shelby Kinlicheenie was 22nd. Shandie Demuth, Morgan Zahne, Latanya Lano and Miya Tom placed 13th in the 4×800 meter relay. In the shot put, Shandie Demuth placed 15th; and Terrilyn Lester, 18th. In the discus, Shandie Demuth was fifth; and Terrilyn Lester, 10th. In the high jump, Darian Hollins placed sixth. In the long jump, Darian Hollins placed second; Demi Phaturos, 10th; and Michaela Lee, 26th. In the triple jump, Demi Phaturos placed 12th. In the boys’ 100 meter dash, Johnathan Dawson was 13th. In the 200 meter dash, Johnathan Dawson placed 17th; and Juwan Cummings, 39th. In the 400 meter run, Johnathan Dawson placed 11th; and Juwan Cummings, 38th. In the 800 meter run, Tristan Zahne placed second; Ryan Bia, 18th; and Brennan Tsosie, 41st. In the 1600 meter run, Kyle Chee placed 23rd; Tristan Notah, 40th; and Brennan Tsosie, 47th. In the 3200 meter run, Marcos Clark placed fifth; Mark Clark, 12th; and Jarvis Nez, 24th. In the 110 meter hurdles, Marcel Young placed sixth; and Kyle Baldwin, 19th. In the 300 meter hurdles, Marcel Young was sixth; and Kyle Baldwin, 20th. Tristan Zahne, Marcel Young, Johnathan Dawson and Kyle Baldwin placed ninth in the 4×400 meter relay. Ryan Bia, Kyle Chee, Marcos Clark and Tristan Zahne placed fourth in the 4×800 meter relay. In the shot put, Tyler LiibilNaghahi was 34th; Carmichael Byjoe, 37th; and Wade Biakeddy, 45th. In the discus, Tyler LiibilNaghahi placed 32nd. Holbrook’s final regular season meet will be today’s (April 30) Snowflake Invitational. Those who have qualified will compete in the Division III state meet scheduled on Friday and Saturday, May 9 and 10.
