The Lady Roadrunners dropped both regular season matches played last week, and with those two losses, their record fell to 4-3 overall. Hosting Blue Ridge on Tuesday, Holbrook struggled with the Yellowjacket power game losing the match in three games, 20-25, 15-25, and 22-25. Blue Ridge senior Anna Berges dominated at the net finishing with 19 of her team’s 49 kills in just three games.
Holbrook traveled to Show Low on Thursday for an east region match with the Cougars. The Ladies played well but dropped the match in four games.
This week the team will try and snap their two-match skid when they make the trip west to face rival Winslow on Tuesday. The next day Holbrook welcomes in a very good Snowflake team. Next Monday and Tuesday Holbrook will host Show Low, and St. Johns during Homecoming week.
