The Holbrook and Snowflake softball squads wrapped up the first inning last Friday tied at 1-1. The Lady Roadrunners held a brief lead in the game after scoring two runs in the top of the second, but in the home half of the second, Snowflake’s Lady Lobos rallied and took control of the game, scoring six second inning runs. The Lobos tacked on three more in the third, then after single runs in the fourth and fifth, they closed out the game in the sixth inning with three more to win the game 15-3 under the 10-run rule.
The Lobos piled up 15 hits while limiting Holbrook to only four.
Holbrook is now 2-4 and will face Blue Ridge today (March 18). The Roadrunners will be busy this weekend at the Gracie Haught tournament in Payson, then will have some time off for spring break.
