Holbrook's volleyball season ended Thursday evening in Window Rock, where they fell to the Scouts in the first round of the 3A North Region tournament.

Before the tournament, the Lady Birds split their final two regular-season matches. Playing at St. Johns on Monday, the team didn't play well, losing in three straight games: 8-25, 12-25 and 17-25.

Hosting Ganado on senior night the following day, Holbrook played much better, defeating the Hornets in four games: 25-17, 25-12, 23-25 and 25-22.

With Holbrook's win over the Hornets, the final 3A North Region standings ended with a four-way tie for fifth through eighth place, with Alchesay, Holbrook, Ganado and Winslow all at 3-5. After the tiebreakers, Holbrook became the sixth seed and traveled to take on third-seeded Window Rock in the first round, where they fell in three games to end their season.
