By Greg Perkins Holbrook’s volleyball team had won just three matches before advancing to the 3A State play-in match at Odyssey Institute on Tuesday evening. The 24th ranked Roadrunners had to make the long trip and they really didn’t have much of an answer for the ninth ranked Minotaurs. Holbrook, which earned the trip by virtue of an extremely tough strength of schedule during the regular season, opened the match playing fairly well, but late in the first game they fell behind and they were never able to recover losing the match in three straight games. With the loss Holbrook concludes the season with a regular season mark of 3-15.
