Holbrook’s girls’ wrestlers competed in the sectional meet held in Winslow on Saturday to see who could qualify for the state meet which will be held on Feb. 18 and 19.
Six Lady Roadrunners competed in the meet, with only one, Sierra Aho advancing to the state meet. The junior grappler placed first in the 138-pound weight class with a 3-0 record. She defeated all three opponents by fall, and all three pins were in the first round.
Only the top two wrestlers in each class advanced to the state meet.
Kelly Hill placed third in the 126 class with a 2-2 record. Mia Iguado finished fourth in the 132 division with a 2-2 record. Katie Lee placed fourth in the 145 class with a 2-2 mark. Ashley Speers placed fifth in the 185-pound weight class with a 0-2 record. Sara Speers was third in the 235-pound weight class with a 1-2 record.
