By Greg Perkins The Lady Lobos are off to a sluggish start in regular basketball season play after going 0-3 in their first three powerpoint contests. Playing in Round Valley on Thursday, the Lobos came up three points short in a 44-47 final outcome. The team did have a chance to work out some kinks this past weekend at the Lady Longhorn Winter Stampede tournament held in Payson. Snowflake went 3-1 in their four games played. Friday’s two games were a 37-26 win over Mingus Union followed by a 56-26 win over San Tan Foothills. On Saturday they soundly defeated Hayden 81-8 in the morning, then fell to Poston Butte 47-33 in the early afternoon contest. The team will have an early east region match-up on Tuesday this week when they welcome in Winslow. On Wednesday they will play their final game prior to the break when they host Tuba City. Snowflake is 5-6 overall on the season.
