By Greg Perkins Snowflake will more than likely be the No. 1 seed in the 3A state tournament when the official bracket is released on Wednesday morning. The Lady Lobos are unbeaten in regular season play with a 17-0 record. Empire is the only other unbeaten team but didn’t have as tough of schedule as did Snowflake. Snowflake won their final two regular season matches with relative ease last week. On Wednesday night they were in Winslow where they dropped the Bulldogs in three straight games, 25-13, 25-15 and 25-19. The following day they were in Holbrook where they had even fewer problems with the Roadrunners winning again in three games, 25-9, 25-11 and 25-9. The 3A play in games will have taken place on Tuesday night around the state. Once those outcomes are posted the 16-team bracket will be released on Wednesday morning. Snowflake is highly considered by most to be one of the favorites to win the 3A crown. Empire, Valley Christian and Monument Valley are three other favorites to compete with the Lobos.
