The Lady Lobos volleyball team suffered a rare regular-season loss last week but they are still off to an impressive 3-1 start to the season. Playing in Blue Ridge on Aug. 30, the Lady Lobos lost a game but still took care of the Yellowjackets in four games. Snowflake dropped the first game 18-25, but bounced back winning three straight; 25-20, 25-18, and 25-18.
Addy Fisher and Livi Schneider both led the way in kills with 13 apiece. Braxton Jones added seven. Fisher also led in aces serving up six of them. Kadee Penrod finished with 17 digs. Braxton Jones had 16 and Schneider finished with 12. Braxton Jones led the team in assists with 36.
Losing a game was rare for the Lobos last year. Losing a whole match was even rarer. That is what happened on Sept. 1, when they fell on the road in Thatcher. The Eagles defeated Snowflake 3-2.
