The Lady Lobos picked up one regular season win last week and split four games at the Chino Cup tournament over the weekend. The team opened the week with a 3-0 road win at Payson on Tuesday. That win counts towards the rankings.
Stepping outside of regular season play over the weekend, the Ladies defeated Page 7-2 in the afternoon, then fell to Northland Prep 0-3 on Friday evening at the tournament. Saturdays’ two matches were also split. They fell to Chino Valley Saturday morning but came back with a 5-2 win over Holbrook in the afternoon.
After playing at Camp Verde on Tuesday they will be in Show Low on Thursday this week. With both tournaments now behind them, the team has nothing but regular season contests left the rest of the way.
Snowflake’s boys team didn’t play last week but has a busy week ahead of them. After hosting St. Michael on Monday and Holbrook on Thursday, they will be in action over the weekend at the Show Low Invitational. Snowflake will play Green Valley, Nev., on Friday morning, then meet up with Faith Lutheran, Nev. on Friday afternoon.
Saturday’s games will be vs Bisbee at 8 a.m., followed by a 2 p.m. game vs Desert Christian on Saturday. Next week they will play in Show Low on Wednesday.
